Alpha Wireless Advances Intelligent Connectivity

Sep 17, 2019 | News

The countdown for attending Mobile World Congress (MWC) has begun! Everyone at Alpha Wireless is excited to be exhibiting at MWC19, North America’s leading event for the wireless industry being held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre from October 22nd to the 24th.

The show brings together over 22000+ attendees, 1000+ companies from a broad range of sectors within the mobile technology industry and provides an important opportunity to meet with and learn from executives involved in the roll out of 5G networks in North America.

Ryan White, VP of Corporate and Business Development said, “Exhibiting at MWC19 is an important part of our growth and expansion strategy in the United States and North America. With disruptive technologies like 5G, IoT, AI and Big Data driving new business models Alpha Wireless is excited to be presenting and promoting our next-generation Concealed Antenna Node, otherwise known as the CAN which will enable Intelligent Connectivity for our customers.”

Concealed antenna node (CAN)

White continues, “The market demand of Alpha Wireless’s CAN solution has been very positive, so much so that mobile operators were ordering it prior to its official product launch. It’s all-in-one form factor which is configurable for multiple OEM radios and it is so visually ambient on the skyline it is easily approved by municipal planning and zoning commissions. With ~39,000 municipalities in the US, even the most hypercritical commissions approve our CAN. The CAN covers a wide array of frequency bands to help move networks closer to 5G download speeds. Our customers were wonderful to collaborate with us throughout the development process and now they are reaping the benefits of deploying much faster at a fraction of their traditional deployment model.”

Small Cell innovations

Designed to improve coverage and capacity, especially in densely populated areas, the all new multiport and multiband AW3724 and AW3725 antennas allow neutral hosts to work with multiple mobile network operators. Ultra-compact, easily mountable and with low visual impact, these antenna solutions offer extended low and mid-band frequency options including CBRS and LAA.

Canister family additions

Supporting six ports on low and 12 ports on mid-band frequencies, the highly versatile and efficient AW3631 and AW3713 AltaFlex complex canister antennas provide superior RF performance for operators adding 600MHz frequency bands to their networks. These canister solutions provide excellent cost-effective coverage, blend into the surroundings, are easy to deploy and bring data capacity closer to the customer.

Keynote speakers from companies such as Verizon, Ericsson, Intel, Nokia and the Orange Group will be at the jampacked three-day event. There will also be a number of 5G and IoT symposiums and a spectrum collaboration challenge! Women4Tech and 4YFN (for entrepreneurs/startups) will also be running a series of related activities.

Alpha Wireless will be at booth #2353. Attending the event with Ryan White will be CEO & Founder Fergal Lawlor and Tim Sill, VP Technology & Business Development.
