The Alpha Wireless 3300 – 3800 MHz AW3161-E-F-V2 is a high performance 4-port, 65° single band sector panel with remote electrical variable tilt. The antenna incorporates advanced phase-shifter technology to suppress all upper side lobes above the main beam, for all tilts and frequencies. The AW3161-E-F-V2 eliminates interference in LTE networks with over 20 dB of upper side lobe suppression and 30 dB front to back ratio. This improves cell edge performance and enables high levels of spectral efficiency. This antenna’s consistent beamwidth and null filling below the main beam provides consistent coverage near-to and far-from the access point. The Alpha Wireless AW3161-E-F-V2 provides ±45° slant polarization and supports 4×4 MIMO. This panel antenna delivers an impressive 18 dBi gain and optimized patterns for 3.5GHz CBRS and C-band deployments.

The AW3161-E-F-V2 features enclosed remote electrical tilt (eRET) which enables the electrical tilt to be adjusted via a motor located inside the antenna housing. This motor is controlled via a AISG cable through which commands are sent from an AISG Controller. eRET fine-tunes antenna performance using electrical commands instead of the time-consuming, high-risk mechanical bracket adjustment of fixed tilt antennas.

Electrical tilt adjustment enables network optimisation without the need to adjust the mounting brackets. Throughput and coverage can be optimized through accurate adjustments of the downtilt to put the signal where it is needed. Down tilting the main beam electrically maintains azimuth pattern control and tilt is applied equally around the azimuth plane. This allows full control of the patterns to prevent signal creep into all neighbour cells, enables frequency-reuse between cells, and reduces the number of cells needed to serve an area.

The AW3161-E-F-V2 provides sectorized coverage for 4G LTE and 5G private networks using the 3.5 GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) and C-band spectrum (Bands n48, n78, 42, 43, and 52).
