Marie McCormack works as NPI Test Technician (New Product Introduction) within our Production Department in Ireland.
Tell us about yourself and your hobbies?
I’m Marie McCormack. After getting a qualification in graphic design, I worked in a bookshop for almost 20 years before deciding during lockdown (as many did) that I wanted a change. I’m now an NPI test technician.
I live in Laois with my partner and our three cats, and for fun, I enjoy live music, restaurants, comic conventions, and board game nights with friends.
Tell us about your Alpha Wireless journey – how have you progressed since you started?
I started on the production floor, where we make the antennas, and then I was given the opportunity to work in New Product Introduction (NPI). The team there really helped and supported my training and progress, which allowed me to be signed off as a tester a little over a year after joining them.
Why do you like working at Alpha?
Every stage of production – assembly, soldering, and testing – is interesting and I’m never bored. Both the Production and NPI teams are always willing to help you learn, improve, and progress, and I value the support and camaraderie.
